Green Bay Packers sign Will Fuller

Packer fans are very familiar with Will Fuller after the team was linked heavily to him at the trade deadline. It’s a move that ultimately didn’t happen, but Pro Football Focus still believes that Green Bay can land him this offseason—even though he was recently suspended and we don’t know if that changes whether or not the Packers would want to pursue him.

With that said, if Gutey did bring Fuller in, he would take this already stout passing game to another level–especially playing across from Davante Adams. Fuller was having a career year before being suspended, nearing 1,000 receiving yards at an impressive 16.6 yards per catch with eight touchdowns.

Fuller is a player that can get it done from out wide or in the slot, and he’s a threat in all parts of the field. While he doesn’t possess the same blazing speed that Marquez Valdes-Scantling does, Fuller was one of the more reliable deep targets this season and would provide this Packer offense with a big boost in that area.

PFF has Fuller ranked as the ninth-best free agent this offseason and has Green Bay offering him a five-year $87.4 million contract. While this is a fun thought, and of course, I’d love to see Fuller in this offense, given the salary cap situation, I have my doubts about this deal actually happening. If the Packers are going to spend big, I see it being elsewhere.
