Green Bay Packers at Lions: 3 Bold Predictions for Week 14
By Paul Bretl
Green Bay Packers offense puts up 40+
So Davante Adams is going to have over 100 yards, and two touchdowns, Aaron Jones and Jamaal Williams are going to total over 200 rushing yards with a touchdown, that can only mean that the offense is going to put up a lot of points. Just as they did against Detroit earlier this season, the Packers will hang 40 or more points once again.
On the first two slides, I’ve already highlighted the issues that the Lions’ defense is having this season. Essentially, if you pick a significant defensive stat, there is a good chance that they are ranked last or near last in it. In addition to the numbers I’ve already given, Detroit also ranks 31st in points per game allowed and 32nd by Football Outsiders’ DVOA metric.
When it comes to Green Bay, they’ve been one of the most productive offenses in the NFL this season. They’ve scored over 30 points in nine of their 12 games this season, including three games where they’ve posted at least 40 points. It’s a matchup between one of the best offenses in the game against one of the worst defenses that the NFL has to offer.
I know weird things have seemed to happen in Detroit recently, but this is a game that the Green Bay Packers should absolutely put up points.
