Tavon Austin returns a punt for a touchdown

Whoa, in his first game as a Green Bay Packer? I know, bold, right? But hey, this is what these bold predictions are all about.

At least early on, Austin’s primary responsibilities as a member of the Green Bay Packers will be on special teams, similar to what we saw in 2019 with Tyler Ervin. Over his career, which began in 2013, Austin has been very effective returning punts with 185 return attempts, three touchdowns — although his last one came in 2015 — and an average of 7.9 yards per return. For some added context, that return average would rank as the 10th best in the NFL this season.

Against this Eagles team, because the offense has had so many issues, I expect Austin to have several punt return opportunities, and this is a Philly punt return unit that ranks 28th in punt return yards allowed in 2020. Put that all together, and you get Tavon Austin taking a punt back for a touchdown.
