Green Bay Packers Return Units

Over the last four or five weeks, to put it simply, the Green Bay Packers’ special teams unit has been bad. There was the blocked punt against Houston, there was the punt return against Jacksonville, and against Indianapolis, Darrius Shepherd fumbled, while J.K. Scott continued to struggle punting the ball once again. Oh, and there have been other blunders as well.

This week if those issues continue, Green Bay will likely get burned against Chicago’s kick and punt return teams. Cordarralle Patterson has the most kickoff return yards in the NFL this season, and his 30.27 average is the second most. He also had a 104-yard kickoff return against Minnesota in Chicago’s last game.

Meanwhile, on punts, Dwayne Harris has taken over the last few games, and although he doesn’t have enough return attempts to qualify, if he did, his average of 8.1 yards would be the 10th best in the NFL this season.

Next. Packers Should Make a Run at WR Kenny Stills. dark

As I’ve already mentioned, I do see this being a difficult game for Green Bay, but one that they should absolutely win. However, do you know one way to let an inferior opponent hang around? Special teams errors.
