These three Green Bay Packers need to see the field more often in Week 12 against the Chicago Bears and the rest of the season.

The Green Bay Packers suffered an emotional defeat to the Indianapolis Colts last Sunday and are looking to bounce back in Week 12. As they take on the Chicago Bears in front of a national audience on Sunday Night Football, head coach Matt LaFleur should ensure these three players get on the field more often.

Kamal Martin

With the return of Christian Kirksey (who played every defensive snap against the Colts), Kamal Martin has taken a back seat at the inside linebacker position. Of the 84 defensive snaps last week, Martin was only on the field for 23 of them. However, he posted a PFF grade of 78.8 in the contest–second-highest on the defense behind Rashan Gary (spoiler: he’s also on this list). Although Kirksey has been fine since his return, it appears Martin is the future of the position and is playing well enough right now to warrant more playing time and speed up the process of his development.

Aaron Jones

The Packers have always been cautious with Aaron Jones who has missed time in three of his four professional seasons. However, it’s time to cut him loose as we get closer and closer to the playoffs. LaFleur splits playing time between Aaron Jones and Jamaal Williams–each had exactly 30 snaps against Indianapolis. Jones is clearly the more explosive running back in every facet of the game and it’s time the Packers feature him like the other top backs in the NFL.

Rashan Gary

Here’s another youngster who has surpassed the veteran starter ahead of him. Rashan Gary is coming off his second straight strong performance and his play demands he gets on the field more. He only played 36 snaps (compared to 66 for the struggling Preston Smith) which isn’t nearly enough for him. Gary is disruptive in both the running and passing games and his future looks bright at this point.
