3 reasons Packers’ defensive coordinator Mike Pettine should be fired
2. Same mistakes over and over again
The mistakes are bad enough if they happened one time, but the fact they continue to rear their ugly head game after game is mind-blowing. Pettine not only fails to adjust in-game, but from game to game as well. He’s a big believer in his schemes–whether they work or not.
We saw the inability to adjust to changing times cost Mike McCarthy his head coaching gig, and it should do the same for Pettine. The best coaches adapt to the times and constantly self-evaluate their own strategies and schemes to ensure they are staying ahead of the times. Pettine has failed to do that and opposing offensive coordinators eat his lunch because they know exactly what he’s going to do.
