These eight members of the Green Bay Packers have been the biggest positive surprises for the team through the first half of the 2020 season.

Despite being pegged as regression candidates heading into the 2020 season, the Green Bay Packers have continued their winning ways from a season ago and are 6-2 at their halfway mark of the 2020 season. This year hasn’t been without its bumps, but things are looking up for the Pack.

Green Bay has gotten a number of surprise performances from key players on both sides of the ball this season. Most of the guys on this list have weren’t and aren’t expected to be stars, however, they’re crucial role players that help keep the pressure off the key cogs. So, without further ado, let’s take a look at the eight most pleasant surprises for the Packers this season.

8. Jamaal Williams

We heard all offseason about how Jamaal Williams had slimmed down and was ready to make a bigger impact this year. More importantly, we’ve been seeing it since Week 1. Williams added a lot of muscle definition over the offseason and appears more explosive with the rock in his hands. His PFF grade of 67.5 actually ranks higher than his running mate Aaron Jones. Williams has been good in the run game and as a pass protector, and has made great strides as a receiver. What else can you ask for from a change of pace back?
