At the halfway point of the season, Aaron Rodgers has been dominant. With a strong second half, he could add a 3rd MVP trophy to his Hall of Fame resumé.

Aaron Rodgers, the long-time signal-caller for the Green Bay Packers, has been putting on a clinic all season. While helping contribute to a 6-2 record, Rodgers’ stats have been very impressive.  AR12’s showing through eight games has proven to his haters across the country that he still is one of, if not the best quarterback in the league.

The MVP Race

As it stands now, I see the NFL MVP as a two man race, with a third contender who could potentially vault himself back into the conversation.  The two leaders in the clubhouse are Aaron Rodgers and Patrick Mahomes. Both of these guys have made jaw-dropping plays seemingly every week that it makes you re-think how good they truly are. The guy falling out of this race is Russell Wilson. If you watch some mainstream media, they spend a ridiculous amount of time salivating over Wilson’s play. He has put up some monster numbers and put Seattle on his back, but his decision making and too frequent habit of turning over the football deters his chances.

So with that in mind, let’s take a look at a few reasons why Rodgers will win the 2020 MVP, but also a few reasons why he might not.
