Running Back

Despite the Packers’ running backs dropping a grade at the halfway mark, it’s still been a tremendous showing from them. Aaron Jones missed a couple of games, but returned on Thursday night and showed his elite elusiveness. However, his yards per carry dropped from 5.8 at the quarter-way mark to 5.0 after eight games.

In his steed, Jamaal Williams proved to be the solid backup we know he is. He takes what the offensive line gives him and even showed a little extra wiggle. He’s also continued to show he can hold his own as a pass-catcher, supplementing some of what Green Bay loses with their wide receiver position.

Halfway mark grade: B+

Wide Receiver

At this point, we know what the Packers’ wide receivers are. While Davante Adams is a stud (he has PFF’s highest grade at wide receiver), the rest of the group struggles. That’s especially true considering Allen Lazard hasn’t played since Week 3. Outside of Lazard (who ranks 60th in PFF’s positional grades), no other Green Bay receiver ranks above 114th out of 120 qualified players.
