1. Preston Smith

Preston Smith received a big contract from Green Bay via 2019 free agency. And after living up to the hype during his first season with the Packers, he’s pulled a disappearing act in Year 2.

His PFF grade of 55.8 ranks 84th out of 113 edge defenders and is by far the lowest of his career. He’s been average against the run, but has been abysmal as a pass-rusher. He’s only racked up one sack, six hurries and ten total pressures. Compare that to his 2019 totals of 12 sacks, 23 hurries and 55 total pressures. Yuck.

As a whole, the Packer’s pass rush has been a liability this season. They far too often fail to put any pressure on the quarterback, allowing him to sit back and pick apart the secondary. Smith is the main culprit and he needs to find a way to tap back into his 2019 ways.
