Green Bay Packers: 5 most disappointing players at halfway mark
4. Josh Jackson
As a former second-round pick, fans have been waiting for the lights to turn on for Josh Jackson. He was thought of as a steal when he fell to the Packers in 2018, but has been the complete opposite of their first-round selection that year–Jaire Alexander.
Thanks to a Kevin King injury, Jackson has been thrust into a more premiere role. After rarely playing through Week 4, Jackson has played at least 48 snaps in each of the last four games…and it hasn’t been pretty. Although he’s had some moments of bliss, he’s been picked on by opposing quarterbacks, as his lack of speed has been a detriment to his success. Furthermore, he’s been penalty-prone, as he’s been called for five flags since taking over in a full-time role. Lastly, his PFF grade of 49.4 ranks 94th out of 117 cornerbacks. It’s probably time to move on from Jackson in the offseason.
