With the NFL trade deadline nearing, these four players are reportedly available if the Green Bay Packers want to strike a deal.

The NFL’s trade deadline is just over a week away, meaning the Green Bay Packers still have plenty of time to strike a deal if they so choose. General manager Brian Gutekunst failed to make a deal for an offensive weapon a season ago, but could remedy that situation this time around.

At 4-1, the Packers are in a great position for the second straight season. However, as we saw in their embarrassing loss against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, they still appear to be a weapon or two short from really being able to compete with the big boys of the NFL. As Aaron Rodgers continues to age, their Super Bowl window could be closing.

In order to maximize that window and compete with the Bucs (who signed Antonio Brown this week), here are four players reportedly available for a trade according to NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport.

Carlos Dunlap, edge

Although an edge rusher may not be at the top of the Packers’ list of needs, it could make sense for them to add one at the deadline. Preston Smith has been non-existent and their pass rush has basically disappeared this season. Two-time Pro Bowler Carlos Dunlap, who has recorded at least 7.5 sacks in each of the last seven seasons, is reportedly frustrated with his role on the Cincinnati Bengals. Rapoport reports “both sides would welcome a new beginning,” potentially opening the door for a trade.

Ryan Anderson, edge

A younger target the Packers could go after is the Washington Football Team’s Ryan Anderson. He’s a former second-round pick who hasn’t quite lived up to the hype, but could benefit from a change of scenery. He’s in the final year of his rookie deal and could be had on the low.

Golden Tate, wide receiver

The position the fans most want Green Bay to target is wide receiver and it just so happens Rapoport mentioned two of them are available. Tate, now on the New York Giants, could be a slot weapon for Green Bay with Davante Adams and Allen Lazard (when he returns) on the outside. At 32-years-old, Tate isn’t quite the receiver he once was, but still has some pep in his step. He could provide a nice boost for Green Bay if they can figure out how to work around all the money he’s owed.

dark. Next. Packers should be calling on Quinnen Williams

Alshon Jeffery, wide receiver

Another big name to keep an eye on is Alshon Jeffery. Jeffery is a big, physical wide receiver just like Gutekunst likes. However, he has yet to play this season due to foot and calf injuries which makes any potential deal involving him extremely complicated. If he can get healthy he’d be a great fit in Green Bay, especially as the weather turns cold and the snow starts falling.
