Packers’ positional grades at quarter mark of 2020 season
Wide Receiver
The wide receiver position has been a pleasant surprise for Green Bay this season after analysts and fans alike criticized the organization for not addressing the issue with a more concerted effort.
Davante Adams got off to a great start in Week 1, but injured himself in the following game and has yet to suit up since. Allen Lazard had a tremendous Week 3 showing, but was injured as well and is on the shelf for a number of weeks. Marquez Valdes-Scantling has continued his up and down career–often getting open but not always hauling in the pass.
Both Lazard and Valdes-Scantling have dropped more than 10 percent of their targets, an issue that’s plagued the entire team. This grade certainly has the potential to improve as the season goes on, especially with the return of Adams.
