Dud: Tackling

Without preseason games to help get players acclimated to the speed and physicality of football, tackling has been an issue so far for the Packers. It reared it’s ugly head on Sunday Night Football against the New Orleans Saints and popped up again against the Falcons.

Green Bay missed a number of opportunities to bring Gurley down in the backfield, only to see him escape and make something out of nothing. On his first touchdown run, he also made a number of guys miss, including Ty Summers, before bouncing across the goal line. The Packers will work to clean it up in this area, but that must come sooner rather than later.
