3. Packers only use one timeout to stop play clock from expiring

Aaron Rodgers is a perfectionist that demands the best out of himself and his teammates. This standard carries over to every aspect, in preparation and on game day.

For years now, Rodgers has been notorious for his hard counts drawing defensive players offsides and giving his team a free play or two seemingly every game. However, he’s also drawn the play clock down to zero far too often as he tries to dissect the defensive coverages. This has forced him to burn a number of timeouts, including a whopping five in the season-opener, to avoid taking a delay of game penalty.

After Mike McCarthy left, some fans thought the issue would go away, but it’s persisted under Matt LaFleur, However, I predict they take a step forward and only use one timeout to stop the play clock from expiring–a huge step forward.
