3. (Hopeful) Return of star players

The Packers were missing some key players in Sunday night’s victory over the New Orleans Saints, as Pro Bowlers Davante Adams and Kenny Clark both sat out. The good news is their return in Week 4 looks promising.

Adams suffered an apparent hamstring injury in their Week 2 victory over the Detroit Lions and sat out most of the second half. Although Matt LaFleur insisted the injury was minor and they were just taking an abundance of caution, Adams was doubtful against the Saints before being ruled out. The Packers’ offense didn’t miss a beat without him, but would receive a huge shot in the arm with his hopeful return this week.

Clark is just as important on the other side of the ball, as Green Bay has struggled mightily to stop the run for the second straight season (more on that in a bit). The Packers are thin along the defensive line and Clark is one of the best interior defensive linemen in the league. His return would be huge for Green Bay.
