As the Green Bay Packers get set to throw down against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday Night Football, let’s take a look at five bold predictions.

The Green Bay Packers look to flex their muscles with the NFL world watching, as they take on the New Orleans Saints on Sunday night. Both teams will have an opportunity to make a statement on the nationally televised game. Before we get to that, however, here are five bold predictions for this critical NFC matchup.

Davante Adams will play

After hurting his hamstring and missing most of the game a week ago, Packers’ star wide receiver Davante Adams hasn’t practiced all week and is listed as doubtful. With Michael Thomas already being ruled out for the Saints, both teams could be without their top wideouts.

However, there’s a bit more optimism when it comes to Adams. Ian Rapoport has labeled it a “very minor hamstring strain” and reports Green Bay’s stud receiver is pushing to play on Sunday night. It sounds like it’s going to be a true game-time decision and my money is on Adams to suit up. This is an important inter-conference matchup that could have tie-breaking implications when the regular season is all said and done. Although Green Bay doesn’t want to rush Adams back and force the hamstring injury to linger, it seems like he’ll be able to safely play in this one.

Packers hold Alvin Kamara to under 100 yards on the ground

Alvin Kamara is one of the top running backs in the entire NFL and a great example of how Green Bay loves to utilize Aaron Jones. However, Kamara has failed to surpass 100 yards on the ground in both of his first two games and that will continue in Week 3. The Packers will load up to stop the run and limit Kamara on the ground. With that being said, I expect the stud running back to have a huge day through the air to make up for no Thomas.

Kenny Clark gets a sack

Defensive tackle Kenny Clark missed last week, but should return against the Saints. That’s a huge boost for Green Bay and one of the major reasons I believe they’ll be able to slow Kamara down on the ground. New Orleans’ interior offensive line also struggles which means Clark could be in for a big day, as I predict he’ll bring down Brees on at least one occasion on Sunday night.

Marquez Valdes-Scantling has over 100 receiving yards

Whether Adams suits up or not, I predict Marquez Valdes-Scantling will have a big game against the Saints. He’s been active in the first two games, receiving 13 total targets from quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Unfortunately, he’s only been able to haul in seven receptions and has a couple of newsworthy drops. Still, the guy continues to get open and puts himself in a position to catch the rock. That will continue in Week 3, but this time he’ll cash in on his opportunities.

Packers move to 3-0

Green Bay’s offense has started hot, as they lead the NFL in total points scored and yards produced so far this season. The Saints also just gave up 34 points to the Las Vegas Raiders and are coming off a short week. That should spell trouble for them, as Green Bay has all the ingredients to put up another high scoring game. And their defense will do just enough to allow them to leave New Orleans undefeated.
