1. Christian Kirksey

Talk about a way to start your Packers’ career. Inside linebacker Christian Kirksey will kick-off his tenure in Green Bay with a juicy and challenging matchup against the Vikings and running back Dalvin Cook.

Cook is one of the best running backs in the NFL and ran for 1135 yards and 13 touchdowns in 2019. Furthermore, he added 53 receptions for another 519 yards through the air. As one of the best dual-threat backs in the NFL, Kirksey is going to have to bring his A-game. One of the things general manager Brian Gutekunst likes about him the most is his explosiveness and athleticism. We’ll see if he’s the real deal right away.

Kirksey will also benefit from the help of an improved defensive line. Although it’s largely the same players, guys like Tyler Lancaster and Dean Lowry can’t play any worse than they did a year ago. If they can help out their teammate Kenny Clark and take on some blockers, Kirksey should have a lot more free lanes to stop the run.
