3. Lane Taylor

What a roller coaster ride it’s been for Lane Taylor. He started the first two games at left tackle in 2019 before giving way to Elgton Jenkins and watched the rest of the season from the sidelines. Then, he had to endure an offseason of constant whispers about whether the Packers will keep him or not. Eventually, he took a pay cut to stay with the team, and is now coming off one of the best training camps among all the offensive linemen. This has him in contention for the starting right guard position, and probably even the favorite.

With Billy Turner’s status up in the air for Week 1, it’s unclear how the Packers will attack the right tackle position. They could move Taylor out wide or keep him at guard. There are a number of other options including Rick Wagner and Jenkins. Regardless of the decision for Week 1 and beyond, Taylor has earned a starting spot on the line.
