Outside Linebacker

On the bubble: Tim Williams, Jonathan Garvin, Randy Ramsey

The top three outside linebacker positions are locked in with Za’Darius Smith, Preston Smith and Rashan Gary holding down those spots. It’s likely one of these three players–Tim Williams, Jonathan Garvin or Randy Ramsey–will fill in the final spot on the depth chart.

Randy Ramsey appeared to be the initial favorite heading into the season. He’s had his moments throughout camp, but hasn’t been consistent enough. Jonathan Garvin, a seventh-round pick this season, probably has the highest ceiling among these three, and the Packers could likely afford to stash him on their roster considering the talent ahead of him. As of now, the lead dog is probably Tim Williams which will make this position especially interesting to watch today.
