Tight Ends

Roster Locks: Jace Sternberger, Josiah Deguara, Marcedes Lewis, Robert Tonyan

With five tight ends on the roster, four of them are locks and the fifth–Evan Bayliss– is on the bubble. Jace Sternberger projects to be the starter despite not catching a pass in the regular season last year. He’s been far from impressive in training camp which leaves this position wide open at the top.

We know Marcedes Lewis is going to be nothing more than a sturdy blocker at this point in his career. Robert Tonyan, although flashy, hasn’t been able to put it all together when the games matter. And Josiah Deguara, the Packers’ 2020 third-round pick, projects to play all over the field in the upcoming season. Can someone step up and provide even average play at the position?
