4. Marquez Valdes-Scantling

It’s no secret Green Bay needs somebody, anybody, to step up at wide receiver opposite Davante Adams. Marquez Valdes-Scantling looked like he could be that dude last season, especially early on, but he disappeared over the last eight games.

In his “absence,” Allen Lazard stepped up and proved himself to be a big-time target for Aaron Rodgers and this offense. Although Lazard is a big body and can use that size advantage on smaller defensive backs, he–nor anybody on this offense–doesn’t possess the same speed Valdes-Scantling does.

The Packers need Valdes-Scantling to step up and strike some fear into the heart of defenses when it comes to stretching the field. Without him, secondaries are able to shrink the field without having to worry about a receiver getting behind him. If Valdes-Scantling continues to play as he has in training camp, Green Bay might’ve found the answer they were looking for at wide receiver.
