With the Green Bay Packers wrapping up this year’s training camp, let’s take a look at five players who have stood out in the summer practices.

Without preseason this year, the Green Bay Packers and the rest of the NFL were forced to evaluate their players through an extended training camp. Some teams held intrasquad scrimmages to help their guys get ready while others used the padded practices. Regardless of the approach, the time for evaluation is nearly over and there are a number of standouts who either made a name for themselves or reinforced positive notions about their play.

With training camp rosters capping out at 80 players this year, instead of the typical 90, cuts might be a bit easier as that’s 10 fewer players front offices have to let go. However, it’s been much more difficult to evaluate players without the use of the four preseason games.

The deadline for teams to trim their roster to 53 players is Saturday, September 5 at 3 pm CT. That doesn’t mean teams have to cut all their players at that time, as we’ll likely see the Packers letting players go throughout the week. With that in mind, here are five players who have shined in training camp and present a lot of hope for the Packers in the 2020 season.
