Brian Sampson: Montravius Adams

This dude has been the Green Bay Packers’ preseason star since he was drafted in the third round back in 2017. Unfortunately, there’s no preseason for him to shine this year which will make it difficult for him to stick around in the final year of his rookie deal.

The Packers’ defensive line sucked last year (outside of Kenny Clark), there’s no ifs, ands, or buts about it, and Adams was a big reason why. After playing in 20 percent of the defensive snaps in 2018, that number dipped to 18 percent in 2019. And there’s a major issue if you can’t even get on the field ahead of Dean Lowry and Tyler Lancaster considering how they played last year.

It now sounds as if Kingsley Keke is making a starting push which means there are fewer opportunities for Adams, and he could get the boot.
