3. Josiah Deguara, FB/TE

The lone newcomer to this list, offensive weapon/fullback/tight end/h-back or whatever you want to call him, Josiah Deguara projects to line up all over the place for the Packers. Head coach Matt LaFleur has been vocal that he wants to use Deguara similar to how the San Francisco 49ers used Kyle Juszcyk last year. Even if the impact won’t be nearly the same.

With only one other fullback on the roster–John Lovett (whose unlikely to make the final roster)–Deguara should get a decent amount of snaps in the backfield. It’s likely he’ll do a lot of run blocking, pass protection and even a little pass-catching from back there.

He can also line up as a traditional tight end or in the slot depending on what the Packers’ intentions are on each play. This will make it difficult for defenses to project what’s coming and should keep them guessing and on their toes. We’ll see if he’s ready for a big role because it feels like the coaching staff has big plans for him.
