3. Aaron Rodgers finished third in MVP voting

Ever since drafting Jordan Love with the 26th pick of the 2020 NFL Draft, Aaron Rodgers has openly talked about ending his career outside of Green Bay. This comes after he was open about wanting to spend it all with the Packers and play into his 40s. Unfortunately, it doesn’t appear the team is on the same timeline with him.

Rodgers has always played at his best when he has a chip on his shoulder. And it appears the chip this time around is due to the lack of belief his own franchise has in him. Although he says he understands the reasoning behind the decision, he’s come out on fire in training camp.

It’s difficult to imagine Rodgers having a better season than Patrick Mahomes and Lamar Jackson at this point in their respective careers, but expect him to finish third behind each of them in the MVP voting. He’ll keep his interceptions low as always, but will see a spike in his passing touchdowns–he had just 26 a year ago. That, along with the next two bold predictions will catapult him back into the MVP conversation.
