2. No Jonathan Isaac

One of the best up-and-coming defenders in the entire league, Jonathan Isaac won’t be available for a long, long time. After suffering a left knee injury in January, he was originally thought to be out for the season. However, after the season was paused for a few months in March, the team cleared him to return for these seeding games.

Nobody will ever truly know if it was too early to bring back the young star, but it certainly appears that way. He suffered a non-contact injury earlier in the bubble games and was diagnosed with a torn ACL. That’s obviously a big blow for Orlando’s playoff chances, but also for their long-term outlook.

The Magic will try to figure out how to defend one of the most lethal offenses without their best defender. The status of Aaron Gordon (hamstring) and Michael Carter-Williams (left foot) are also up in the air with the former missing the last four games and the latter missing the last five. The good news is Terrence Ross, who left the bubble earlier due to a medical issue, should be cleared from quarantine on Friday or Saturday.
