3 Things to Know About Bucks 1st Round Playoff Series vs Magic
3. Evan Fournier’s Dangerous
Enjoying a career season–18.5 points per game thanks to a 39.9 percent success rate from downtown–Evan Fournier has had tremendous success against the Bucks this season. In four games, he’s averaged 20.5 points per game and shot exactly 50 percent from the three-point line. Not bad.
In all seriousness, he’s probably the most dangerous offensive threat the Bucks have to worry about. He’s a proficient three-point shooter who uses the threat of his shot to dribble into the mid-range and fire away from there as well. His lack of great athleticism makes it difficult for him to create separation so he relies on his sweet-shooting stroke for most of his damage.
Wes Matthews will likely draw the primary assignment and you know he’ll work his tail off to make life difficult for Fournier. Matthews has been the Bucks’ primary wing defender this season, allowing Khris Middleton to focus on offense. The Matthews-Fournier matchup will be one to watch.
