These five members of the Green Bay Packers received the highest praise and ratings in the newest version of Madden NFL 2021.

The release of the ratings on Madden NFL is a big deal every year, and maybe more so this time around considering the league’s status is up in the air. It’s always fun and exciting to see which members of the Green Bay Packers are valued in this arbitrary ranking system and who flies under the radar.

After finishing last year 13-3, winning the NFC North and advancing just one game shy of the Super Bowl, Green Bay received some more praise in this year’s game compared to Madden NFL 20. Let’s take a look at the five highest-rated Packers as well as two honorable mention candidates.

Honorable Mention: Za’Darius Smith (88 overall) and Aaron Rodgers (89 overall)

Za’Darius Smith might be the most disrespected Packer in Madden. He comes in seventh on the team at only 88 overall despite finishing sixth in the league with 13.5 sacks last season. He was much more than a pass rusher as well, and was just as stout against the run.

Gone are Aaron Rodgers’ days of being an elite quarterback where his ranking was in the mid to high 90s. Now, he’s clinging on to “great” status with an 89 overall ranking. Don’t be surprised if his ranking takes a step forward next year considering the extra motivation he carries into this season.

5. Jaire Alexander, 90 overall

After just his second season, Jaire Alexander proved himself as one of the better cornerbacks in the NFL. Expect another leap in Year 3. He’s feisty, speedy and doesn’t give an inch to opposing wide receivers–something every coach loves.

4. Kenny Clark, 90 overall

Kenny Clark had some mid-season struggles, but both started and finished the season on high notes. He’s set to get paid one way or another before the beginning of the 2021 season, and he’s probably even a bit underrated with this ranking.

3. Aaron Jones, 90 overall

Aaron Jones burst onto the scene last year and proved himself as a dual-threat running back on his way to racking up over 1500 total yards and 19 touchdowns. His ranking accurately reflects his breakout status. Let’s see what he can do as an encore.

2. Davante Adams, 94 overall

The only proven pass-catching weapon on the Packers’ offense, Davante Adams is a complete stud and will be asked to carry the load again. Although is 94 overall ranking puts him in elite territory, I still can’t help the feeling that it still cuts him a little short.

1. David Bakhtiari, 96 overall

The highest-rated Packer, left tackle David Bakhtiari locks down the left side of the line without any issues. Rodgers knows he doesn’t have to worry about his blindside. It was a long process to get the recognition he was due, but it appears Bakhtiari is finally being seen as one of the top tackles in the game.
