Green Bay Packers Land Rookie QB & a Familiar Face in ESPN Re-draft
By Paul Bretl
Round 4, Pick 99: Justin Tucker, K
Now don’t get me wrong, Justin Tucker is as steady as they come and he is the best kicker in the game. However, it’s Round 4 and he is a kicker. Regardless of how good the kicker is, and as I said Tucker is excellent, the value of the position isn’t worthy of a fourth-round pick in my eyes.
Some players that I would have taken include Frank Clark or Kenny Clark once again, Stefon Diggs, Jaire Alexander, Preston Smith, or Allen Robinson.
Overall Grade: B+
As I’ve said, I have no complaints about the first two selections. Green Bay lands their franchise quarterback and they are protecting him with the best left tackle in football. Meanwhile, in Round 3, while I would have taken a pass-rusher, landing a lockdown corner certainly isn’t a bad thing either. However, Round 4 I definitely would have done differently.
Where did other Packer players go?
Pick 12: Aaron Rodgers, Las Vegas Raiders
Pick 40: Davante Adams, Minnesota Vikings (ouch)
Pick 59: Za’Darius Smith, Los Angeles Chargers
Pick 100: Jaire Alexander, Tennessee Titans
Also, how in the heck were there 128 draft picks and not one person selected Kenny Clark?
