Tyson Campbell – Georgia, Junior

Tyson Campbell is the more well-known corner on Georgia’s roster. A five-star recruit, he was awarded the starting spot opposite Baker as a true freshman but was benched in favor of Stokes.

In 2019, Campbell was limited to 9 games because of a turf toe injury. We haven’t seen Campbell’s potential translate to on-field production quite yet and at 6’ 2” – 185 pounds, the junior is thinner than Stokes but he has as much athleticism and more length. He may be the better of the two, but I haven’t seen it yet. With a healthy 2020 season, Campbell will get a chance to prove it.

Josh Jobe – Alabama, Junior

Josh Jobe is next in line for this Alabama cornerback group. Playing behind Surtain and Quandre Diggs, opportunities have been scarce for Jobe, and to be honest, he wasn’t overly impressive when he was on the field.

The game seemed a little fast for him, and receivers gained separation from him consistently. With a balanced 6’ 1” 190 pound frame, Jobe is a prospect with elite athleticism and active hands in press coverage. I trust that the Tide coaching staff will have him ready to go. Look for him to break out in 2020.

Elijah Molden – Washington, Senior

Elijah Molden is entering his second year as the starting slot corner at Washington. Standing at just 5’ 10” – 190 pounds, Molden will be limited by his lack of length, but he’s got solid play strength and room to pack on more good weight.

He’s a sure tackler with great instincts and quick feet. I like his short-area burst but have questions about his long speed. Molden may need to be schemed into advantageous situations that keep him off speedy, lengthy receivers, but he could end up filling the slot role for the Green Bay Packers.

There may be two starting cornerback positions to fill next offseason, and I would bet money that the Green Bay Packers select a corner early in the 2021 draft. With the entire 2020 season to play, Campbell, Jobe, and Molden could work their way into first-round consideration, but as of now Farley, Stokes, and Holland are the three prospects to pay attention to this college football season.
