What will the Milwaukee Brewers roster look like in 2025?

Future Free Agents
Before we get into the crystal ball free agency predictions, there is one last subcategory, and that’s Brewers’ players that will be free agents after the 2024 season. This group is five guys who could make-up the starting rotation a few years down the line.
Adrian Houser, Corbin Burnes, Freddy Peralta, Eric Lauer, and Brandon Woodruff all fit this description. They will all still be relatively young with the exception of Woodruff who will be 32. Even so, Woodruff is probably first in line for an extension after the stellar 2019 season he had. Keeping these guys in Milwaukee and pitching well would solve a lot of future problems.
For this exercise of predicting free agents signings, my main premise was that David Stearns likes to pluck guys off the market for good value for a season or two when other teams have undervalued them. I also won’t try to predict any relief pitchers as there are so many and they get passed around in trades so often.
The most needed position for the future is first and third base. Justin Smoak is 33 and Ryan Braun is 36. They won’t be here in 2025. Spanberger and Erceg are currently the only realistic prospects to fill the roles. Luis Urias could also slide to third if one of the middle infield prospects develops well enough.
The most viable candidates that I found for corner infield that are free agents in either 2024 or 2025 were Rhys Hoskins, Ryan McMahon, Wil Myers, Gio Urshela, Daniel Robertson, and Miguel Sano. They will all be between the ages of 30 and 34. This is the perfect range where teams may stay away for fear that the players will regress and start to break down.
Hoskins, Sano, and Myers could all bring some pop in the middle of the lineup, while McMahon, Urshela, and Robertson all are solid on-base guys. Myers and McMahon would also serve as backup plans in the outfield if the plethora of outfielders in the Brewers system don’t develop.
So after all of that, here’s what the 2025 roster could look like:
Starting Rotation: Brandon Woodruff, Ethan Small, Eric Lauer, Trey Supak, Drew Rasmussen
Bullpen: Corbin Burnes, Freddy Peralta, Aaron Ashby, Adrian Houser, Ray Black, Devin Williams, Zack Brown, Any outside reliever
Outfield: Christian Yelich, Tyrone Taylor, Tristan Lutz, Corey Ray, Medina/Perez
Infield: Keston Hiura, Luis Urias, Brice Turang, Eduardo Garcia, Chad Spanberger, Wil Myers
Catchers: Jacob Nottingham and Mario Feliciano
