3 Moves the Green Bay Packers Need to Make After the NFL Draft

Extend Kenny Clark
2020 will be the final year of Kenny Clark’s rookie deal and if anyone has earned a contract extension, it his him. Over the last two seasons, Clark has totaled 12 sacks, 109 total pressures, and 17 tackles for loss.
In fact, according to Pro Football Foucs’ (subscription required) metrics, Clark was top-10 among interior defensive lineman in 2019 in both run-stop percentage and pass-rush productivity. He’s turned into one of the best defensive tackles in the game and he is going to get paid like it. But now the question is, when?
Well, the good news is that during GM Brian Gutekunst’s end of the season press conference, he mentioned that he was optimistic that the two parties would come to an agreement and that the plan is to get something done this offseason. So to that I say, the sooner the better, and hopefully before training camp.
It’s also worth mentioning that David Bakhtiari is in the final year of his current deal as well and offering him a contract extension before he hits free agency wouldn’t be a bad idea either.
