One-stop shopping for everything you need to know about the Green Bay Packers, the 2020 NFL Draft and Round 1 on Thursday night.

One of the most exciting times of the NFL season is finally upon us, as the Green Bay Packers are making their last-minute preparations for the 2020 NFL Draft.

In each of the three days of the draft, Dairyland Express will compile the ultimate guide including everything you need to know about that day’s events. Let’s kick it off with Day 1 and the Packers’ first pick.

When are they on the clock?

Thanks to finishing with a 13-3 record and advancing to the NFC Championship game, the Packers hold the 30th overall selection in the first round of the draft. It’s their sole pick on Day 1.

Next pick?

Green Bay has two Day 2 picks at the end of each of the second and third rounds–at 62nd and 94th overall.

How likely is a trade?

During the first two years of general manager Brian Gutekunst reign, he’s completed three trades in the first round. That streak certainly looks like it could continue for a third straight year, as Gutekunst hinted at his enjoyment in moving all over the draft. The biggest question is whether they’ll move up or down in the draft, as there are ample reasons to do both.

Team needs

For a team that finished just one game shy of reaching the Super Bowl, they have a number of needs to address in the next two years. On that list includes wide receiver, inside linebacker, cornerback, defensive line and offensive tackle. They could conceivably go in any of those directions in this year’s first round.

Most likely pick

A wide receiver could very easily be the target of the Green Bay Packers given their lack of playmakers other than Davante Adams. If that’s the route they go, it will be interesting to see who falls to them. Denzel Mims is certainly the player to keep an eye on. If not him, Ross Blacklock is the other key candidate.
