Green Bay Packers: 5 Bold Predictions for 2020 NFL Draft

2. The Packers will trade up in the first round.

Throughout his short tenure as the general manager, Gutekunst has shown a propensity for wheeling and dealing. Especially in the first round. He did so in 2018 when he first traded back and then moved up to acquire Jaire Alexander. And again in 2019 when he slid up to snag Darnell Savage Jr.

Last year it cost the Packers two fourth round picks to move from 30 to 21 so that should be the price again (and where the future pick comes in).

Some analysts think he’ll snag a receiver if he moves up, but the options are endless. There are multiple good cornerbacks projected to go in the early to mid-20s so that could be a target. He could also prioritize defensive line or offensive tackle with a trade.
