3. Aaron Rodgers’ successor will be drafted.

Aaron Rodgers is on the record saying he wants to play until he’s 40-years-old. Unfortunately, we are getting closer to that point, as he’ll be 37 toward the end of next season.

The current backup quarterback is Tim Boyle who has all of four passing attempts in his NFL career. Although Boyle has worked hard to get to this point in his career, he’s one of the worst backups in the league and the Packers can stand to do a lot better–for both now and the future.

There are thoughts the Packers might take Jordan Love if he slips to the end of the first round and that would be a huge leap for a team with many other holes. However, even if it’s not Love, don’t be surprised if they select a quarterback in the middle rounds. They need a plan at the position and what better time to start grooming Rodgers replacement than now?
