Mike: Brandon Aiyuk WR – Arizona State

My personal draft crush, Donavan Peoples-Jones was already gone by this point, but luckily Aiyuk was still there. And if that’s the case on Draft night, Brian Gutekunst and company better hope their internet doesn’t go out and should get that selection sent to the league office as soon as possible.

Aiyuk is a 75-yard touchdown waiting to happen whenever he’s on the field and his ability to make guys miss in the open field is something that is sorely needed in Green Bay. Opposing defenses are forced to respect his speed and explosiveness, which opens up the chance for Aiyuk to get a quick slant, bubble screen, and let his legs do the rest.

Plus, he can double as a returner. Think of a more explosive version of Randall Cobb mixed with Cordarelle Patterson, and you have Aiyuk. He needs some refinement, but in Round 2, this could be a steal for the Green Bay Packers offense.

Kenny: Raekwon Davis IDL – Alabama

Raekwon Davis is an absolute physical freak. At 6’7″ 312 pounds, it’s hard to imagine not being intimidated by this behemoth of a man. In college, he demanded almost constant double teams in the pass and run games in his junior and senior years. In his sophomore year, when he was lesser-known, he had 10 tackles for loss and 8.5 sacks. His production fell after that year, but it’s tougher to put up numbers when every guy on the offensive line always knows exactly where you are.

If he was put on the Packers’ current front, especially in pass rush, he could have himself another 8.5 sack season. You can’t afford to double-team a rookie when you have the Smith Brothers and Kenny Clark to worry about. He is a bit of a project in run-stuffing as it isn’t always easy to get low leverage with a 6’7″ frame.

However, he has crazy physical tools and is capable of destroying pulling guards with a mammoth forearm blow. His floor isn’t so low that he couldn’t contribute right away and his ceiling is sky-high.

Paul: Brandon Aiyuk WR – Arizona State

Of the receivers that will realistically be available for the Green Bay Packers, Aiyuk is easily one of my favorites and with his skill-set he would give this passing attack an element that they just didn’t have in 2019.

Aiyuk is a YAC monster and a big play waiting to happen. Matt LaFleur and Aaron Rodgers just need to find ways to get him the ball in the open field and let him go to work from there. It’s also worth pointing out that he can double as a return man as well.
