Bench

With platoons all over the place (right field, first base, third base and catcher) the Brewers’ bench may seem depleted. However, there are a number of guys including Pina, Narvaez, Braun, Sogard, Gyorko and Garcia who will spend their fair share on the pine. The three guys on this list don’t have a spot in most lineups and will be used inconsistently throughout the season.

Ben Gamel, OF

Gamel had a fairly productive first season in Milwaukee last year and played all over the outfield. He’ll be in a similar position this time around, as he’ll mostly spell Yelich and Cain.

Brock Holt, IF/OF

Holt was added via free agency in February and is the true definition of versatility. In 2019, he played in at least three games at every position except center field.

Luis Urias

Urias was the Brewers’ prize acquisition this offseason and could very easily swap positions with Arcia on this list. He’s only 22-years-old and isn’t far removed from being considered the best prospect in baseball. Milwaukee is hoping to tap into that potential again and make it a reality.
