Green Bay Packers: 3 Positions To Target With First Round Draft Pick

2. Offensive Tackle

Similar to middle linebacker, Green Bay elected not to re-sign the highly sought after Bryan Bulaga at right tackle, again electing to sign a cheaper player. Ricky Wagner doesn’t have the same injury history as Bulaga, but isn’t nearly the same type of player as his predecessor.

The most likely target for the Packers at the end of the first round is Houston’s Josh Jones. Jones excels in run-blocking, something head coach Matt LaFleur could favor considering his propensity for running the football. Jones might not start right away at right tackle, but could provide the Packers with a backup plan and a long-term starter; two things they don’t have at this moment.
