Green Bay Packers: 3 Positions To Target With First Round Draft Pick
The Green Bay Packers have a number of needs they have to address and should look to target any of these three positions with their first round draft pick.
A year after splurging in free agency with the high-priced signings of Za’Darius Smith, Preston Smith and others, Green Bay Packers‘ general manager Brian Gutekunst elected to take a different approach this time around. Instead of focusing his limited cap space on a big name, he went bargain shopping; emerging with a number of free agents at key positions.
The signings include inside linebacker Christian Kirksey, right tackle Ricky Wagner and wide receiver Devin Funchess. Although none of the newcomers will knock your socks off, they play positions of need for the Packers and come at relatively cheap prices.
Still, Gutekunst has yet to cross off a need from the list that they started with at the beginning of the offseason. Although those three players are likely to be starters next season, Green Bay still has their work cut out for them in the draft, and need to address one of these three positions with their first-round draft pick:
