3. Christian Covington, DL

Green Bay struggled to stop the run last season, often bringing the ball-carrier down on their side of the line of scrimmage. They hopefully addressed that with the addition of Kirksey, but also need up to upgrade their defensive line next to Kenny Clark.

Enter Christian Covington. Covington is far from a pass-rush extraordinaire, instead, specializing in stopping the run. And that’s just fine for Green Bay.

Covington can play either defensive end or defensive line, providing coordinator Mike Pettine with plenty of versatility and flexibility. He’s racked up four tackles for loss in each of the past two seasons as just a part-time player and is still just 26-years-old. He’ll hardly break the bank and would provide some nice depth and competition along the line for the Packers.
