It’s only February 23rd, but with a Milwaukee Bucks’ win on Monday over Washington, they can already clinch a playoff spot. Just another example of how dominant they’ve been this season.

Led by Giannis Antetokounmpo, the Milwaukee Bucks are the most dominant team in the NBA this season and one of most dominant in league history. I know, nothing ground-breaking there, but it’s truly remarkable how good they’ve been.

You name the category and there’s a good chance that the Bucks are the best or at least near the top. For starters, they have the best record in the NBA and have accomplished that by dominating on both ends of the court.

Currently, Milwaukee leads the NBA in points per game with 119.7, their defensive rating of 101.6 is also the best in the league, and their +/- of 12.4 is well ahead of the second place Los Angeles Lakers who sit at 7.5. These are just a few examples, but I’m sure you get my point.

And oh yeah, did I mention that they’re on pace for over 70 wins this season? Which is something that has only been done twice in NBA history.

On top of all of that, Giannis is putting together an even better season than what he did last year when he won the MVP.

His shooting percentage from 3 is much improved, he’s more consistent with his mid-range game, and overall he’s averaging 30 points, 13.6 rebounds, with nearly six assists per game. Not to mention that he’s done it all while averaging under 31 minutes a night!

Now with an overall record of 48-8 and a firm grasp on the Eastern Conference’s No. 1 seed, the Milwaukee Bucks have the opportunity to clinch a playoff spot on Monday with a win over the Washington Wizards, who are the current nine-seed in the East with a 20-34 record.

With Monday’s date being February 24th, the Bucks can break Golden State’s record from the 2016-2017 season when they clinched a playoff spot on February 25th that year.

Or an even easier way for the Bucks to clinch is if the Wizards lose on Sunday night to the Chicago Bulls. Regardless of how it happens, it’s an incredible feat.

However, as Giannis always points out, the main goal right now is for him and the team to continue improving, with of course, winning the NBA Title being the ultimate goal in the end.

So while this accomplishment would likely just be another blip on the radar for a Milwaukee Bucks team that is all business and focused on the larger task at hand, this would still be another feather in their cap as they put together one of the more dominant NBA seasons.
