Green Bay Packers 2020 NFL Draft Big Board 1.0
6. Justin Jefferson, WR LSU
Finally, a flashy skill player. Providing Aaron Rodgers with as many weapons as possible should be Brian Gutekunst’s number one priority this offseason. Rodgers’ play is definitely regressing, but giving him better options than Geronimo Allison and a washed Jimmy Graham would be helpful.
That’s where someone like Justin Jefferson comes into play. He caught an insane 111 balls last season for 1540 yards and 18 touchdowns. As the main target for Joe Burrow, he proved he could handle a high workload and lots of defensive attention and still get the job done.
If all goes according to plan, Jefferson will be an instant starter next season. He has good size and quickness for the position and is also a good route runner. Head coach Matt LaFleur could move him all over the field as well and he’d be a great compliment as the number two receiver.
