Using The Draft Network’s mock draft machine, here is how a computer simulated 7-round draft turns out for the Green Bay Packers, along with some big takeaways.

There are certainly a lot of mock drafts being released at this time of the year, including a few of my own. But with each draft created by a person, there can be certain biases about team needs or how someone may feel about one particular player compared to another.

So in order to counteract this as much as possible, a few weeks ago I ran my first seven-round computer simulated mock draft for the Green Bay Packers utilizing The Draft Network’s mock draft machine. And now I’m back with version 2.0!

I love this exercise because for one, at this stage of the game we just don’t see many seven-round mock drafts, and two, as I’ve already mentioned it takes out any human biases. The machine makes its picks based on the best available and team needs. That sounds simple, but it isn’t always easy.

Just like last time, I’ll list each selection, we will get some insight into each player once again from our friends over at The Draft Network, NFL.com, and Pro Football Network. And of course, I’ll give my big takeaways at the end.
