With Bryan Bulaga a pending free agent, the Green Bay Packers have a huge need to fill at right tackle. Here are three free agent options.

Since the offseason began, when many Green Bay Packers fans think of positional needs that the team needs to address, the first few that come to mind are wide receiver, linebacker, and interior defensive lineman. However, one gaping hole that they currently have to fill, is the right tackle position.

2019 was the final year of Bryan Bulaga’s five-year deal with the team and at the moment, I don’t see a viable replacement for him on the roster.

When Billy Turner was signed to his four year – $28 million deal last offseason, many speculated that the long-term plan for Turner was to eventually move him to right tackle. And while I suppose that could still happen, I think doing so is a mistake. Although Turner has played some tackle in his NFL career, he’s much better suited to be a guard.

Of course, another option is that Green Bay tries to address this need in the draft. However, given how important the tackle position is, I find that move quite risky given that there is no guarantee they will land a prospect who could step in and be effective from Day 1.

Instead I see free agency being the best route in terms of addressing this need at tackle. So let’s dive in and take a look at three potential candidates along with a bonus player at the end.
