Tajae Sharpe

Tajae Sharpe has spent his first four NFL seasons with the Tennessee Titans and after a solid rookie season where he had 41 receptions for 522 yards with two touchdowns, he would miss all of 2017 with a foot injury and since returning has seen his production dip and his role reduced. Especially in 2019, although Marcus Mariota was his quarterback for a majority of that time.

However, just because Sharpe hasn’t produced at a high-level recently, doesn’t mean he can’t be an effective option for the Green Bay Packers with Aaron Rodgers throwing him the ball and in the Matt LaFleur offense that he is familiar with from his time in Tennessee.

While his opportunities may have been limited last season, he was still quite reliable. Sharpe hauled in 71.4 percent of the passes thrown his way for 13.2 yards per catch, with four touchdowns, no drops, and his quarterbacks had a cumulative passer rating of 120.0 when targeting him.

In 2019, Sharpe was lined up outside most of the time but the previous season under LaFleur, he was much closer to a 50/50 split between lining up out-wide and in the slot. And of course, another reliable slot option is needed in Green Bay as Geronimo Allison certainly didn’t live up to expectations.

Coming off his rookie deal that paid him just north of $2.6 million over four years, Sharpe would be a steal for the Green Bay Packers, which would allow them to allocate their cap space elsewhere and add another receiver to the mix via the draft.
