Perhaps No. 1 on the Green Bay Packers offseason to-do list is addressing the wide receiver position, and these are three players they could target in free agency.

Whether you’re talking with a fellow Green Bay Packers fan or looking at the latest mock drafts being released, everyone knows that addressing the wide receiver position this offseason is a must.

Despite the overall success that the team had by finishing the season 13-3 and reaching the NFC Championship game, the offense rarely clicked for multiple quarters and a big reason was the underwhelming performances at wide receiver.

Of course that previous comment excludes Davante Adams and fortunately for the Packers we saw the emergence of Allen Lazard as the season went on. But on the flip side, Geronimo Allison and Marquez Valdes-Scantling who were both supposed to play major roles in 2019, severely disappointed. On top of that, Jake Kumerow’s playing time was limited and Equanimeous St. Brown missed the entire season with an injury.

Last offseason we saw Brian Gutekunst turn the edge-rusher and safety positions from weaknesses to strengths and now it is time for him to do the same with the wide receiver.

However, something to keep in mind this offseason is that the Green Bay Packers just don’t have the same spending power as they did a year ago. So while fans may want a top-flight receiver signed, given how deep the draft is at that position along with the other needs that they have to address, Green Bay could very well choose to stay away from the more expensive contracts.

So in addition to the one high-profile receiver that I’ve included on this list because I think he makes the most sense given fit and contract cost, I also took a look at two players who won’t break the bank.
