Patrick Queen LB – LSU

This will be another position of need in the offseason for the Green Bay Packers with uncertainty surrounding Blake Martinez’ future with the team. My gut says that given what he could earn on the open market along with his limitations as a player, that he won’t be back in 2020. Meaning, the Packers better address linebacker in free agency or early in the draft.

Across the board Patrick Queen saw his stats just about double from last season to this one. In total he’d record 77 tackles, 9.5 of which were for a loss, along with 2.5 sacks, an interception, and two pass breakups. Not to mention that he was very solid in coverage this season.

Jonah Tuls of The Draft Network had this to say about Queen’s game in his scouting report:

"“A natural athlete with effortless sideline to sideline range and closing speed. Reads and reacts just as efficiently in traffic as he does in the open field. Does a nice job using his quickness to keep himself free from second-level blockers. A consistent wrap-up finisher who rarely puts missed tackles on tape. Shows flashes of tone-setting stopping power. Adept as a zone coverage defender. Can close passing windows in a hurry with his lateral quickness.”"
