Justin Jefferson WR – LSU

If you were unfamiliar with Justin Jefferson prior to the College Football Playoffs, you probably know who he is now after a huge performance against Oklahoma. Justin Jefferson totaled a whopping 14 caches for 227 yards with four touchdowns. And it wasn’t just in that game that he put up big numbers, Jefferson has been doing it all season long.

After a modest 2018 season, 2019 has been a monster year for Jefferson where he’s hauled in 102 receptions for 1,434 yards at 14.1 yards per catch with 18 touchdowns. To put it simply, he’s a playmaker and here is what Jordan Reid of The Draft Network had to say about him:

"“Displays a well above average ability to climb the ladder and snag the ball out of the air. Adequate body control quickly leads to him being able to adjust to the ball pattern in the air. Shows the ability of having the conscious to track the ball out of the air even when he seems to be in unfavorable situations to make the catch. Trait is glorified in the redzone, where he refuses to be denied the ball and tremendous with keeping his body clean off of the line. Due to having experience at so many spots, he’s comfortable with operating from any pre-snap positioning on the field. Smooth when sifting through zone coverage and when asked to run routes in the intermediate areas, he has a great feel for finding the soft spots or holes in the coverage. Against man coverage, he executes a beautiful body lean tactic where he leans on the opposition just prior to the catch point to not make them aware of when the balls about to arrive.”"
