1. Packers’ Defensive Front vs Seahawks’ Offensive Line

For years, the way to beat the Seahawks has been to harass Russell Wilson in the pocket and take him down before he can get out and extend plays. The Seahawks have never addressed their offensive line enough, and they’ve expected Wilson to work around it. He has for the most part, but this Packers’ front is a tough group for even the best units to handle. With the Seahawks possibly missing multiple starters on the offensive line, it could be even worse.

Za’Darius Smith and Preston Smith have been magnificent for the Green Bay Packers this season, and Za’Darius should have been named an All-Pro for the amount of pressure he has put on quarterbacks this season. They can rush from the outside or inside, and Green Bay has more guys behind them in Rashan Gary and Kyler Fackrell, who could play a key role in containing Wilson.

Green Bay has struggled against the run this year, but they can slow down Seattle, who is without their top three running backs because of injuries. They can penetrate and get into the backfield which makes life more difficult on Wilson and allows the pass rushers to focus on getting home. If they can get around Wilson regularly, they could force this offense to come to a halt, similar to the way they did against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 16.
